On behalf of Penang Barisan Nasional Executive Committee, I would like to extend a very warm welcome to all Internet users to our homepage.

Today, the Internet is transforming the ways in which businesses operate and people work, boosting demand for new knowledge and new types of skills. It also provides new alternatives for learning and offering new solutions to meet challenges. If one is serious in his future undertaking, one should never neglect the development of Information Technology, especially the development of Internet Technology. It is our party's belief that Internet is increasingly becoming an important medium for disseminating political information.

With the relaunching of the Penang Barisan Nasional Homepage, members as well as people from outside the party can now gain access to most of the information they want to know about the party, especially information on Penang Barisan Nasional.

It is my hope that the launching of this homepage will keep our party members well informed of the party's activities and struggles; in order to achieve the spirit of "Cemerlang, Gemilang, Terbilang!" (Excellence, Glory & Distinction!).

To members of the public, I hope you can be better informed and understand why Barisan Nasional is truly a multi-racial multi-party political coalition whose main objective is to build a just, equitable and democratic Malaysian society regardless of race, religion, sex or creed.
